Although the antenna is small, its reception performance is excellent and matches that of the reelektronika integrated H-field eLoran/GPS antenna.

Helwig The International Loran Association awarded the Medal of Merit both to Dr. Gerard Offermand and Dr. Arthur Helwig for their innovative work in Loran and for the development and implementation of Eurofix in the Northwest European Loran System (NELS). Offermans received from the International Loran Association the Outstanding Service Award for his contributions to Loran and the Association as GAUSS Chair of the ILA's 31st Annual Convention and Technical Symposium 2002. October 2003 - FAA contract "Integrated GPS/Loran for Harbor Entrance and Approach (HEA) Operations" awarded to the Team Megapulse, Inc. (USA), Reelektronika and Sitex Koden (Japan) The FAA awarded to a Team led by Megapulse, Inc. (MA, USA) with Reelektronika bv in The Netherlands and Sitex Koden in Japan as subcontractors. The team will supply equipment an services in support of the Loran Recapitalization and Evaluation Program. Two major aspects is the contract are the determination whether Loran can provide sufficient accuracy, availability, integrity and continuity to support HEA operations. The second goal is the development and production of a small quantity run GPS/WAAS/Loran receivers. October 2003 - Cum Laude PhD degrees for Dr. Gerard W.A. Offermans and Dr. Arthur W.S. Helwig received on October 13 their PhD with honours (Cum Laude) from the Delft University of Technology on their joint thesis "Integrated Navigation System Eurofix - Vision, Concept, Design, Implementation & Test". December 2002 - Ohio University - Loran-C data grabber Reelektronika developed and implemented special Loran-C data acquisition receivers for analysis of received Loran-C signals on board aircraft while flying under precipitation static conditions. These receivers will be used in the FAA Loran-C Recapitalization Program in the USA. |
