eLoran Operator Solutions

A larger part of the Northern Hemisphere is covered by Loran signals. With the decision of the US government to continue with eLoran as a backup to GPS, enhancements to the existing infrastructure will need to be implemented to bring the current service up to date and in line with the latest standardized requirements that maximize performance of the system. Further extensions to the present coverage areas and new systems in the Southern Hemisphere can be planned

This requires a thorough and futureproof system architecture with extensive expansion and upgrade scenarios.

Network operators need system knowledge and expertise that can be put into practise with trials and eLoran implementation projects. These upgraded eLoran networks are targeted to be the most reliable navigation support systems. To achieve this, the accuracy of the measured position needs to be further improved, for which service area surveys have to be carried out and made available to the users.

Reelektronika has the expert knowledge that deals with the complex system issues that come into play when implementing the architecture mentioned above and can also carry out the surveys that help obtain the improved user accuracy.
